Call for submissions deadline extended

ORFC 2023 is going to be the most ambitious conference yet, spanning a further two venues in Oxford and three days of online talks with incredible speakers and farming communities from around the world. We’re really looking forward to connecting with you all again, whether it’s online or in-person.

To ensure the programme is as exciting and diverse as the community behind it, we want to get the Call for Submissions out to as many individuals, groups and organisations as we can over the next few weeks. To help with this, we are extending the deadline for proposals.

Submit idea or proposal for IN-PERSON conference, Oxford, UK
Submit idea or proposal for GLOBAL online programme

Could you help us by forwarding it onto anyone you think is doing something really interesting or has a great story to tell? If you work with others globally, please send it onto them. The submissions form is available in seven languages and we will have an interpretation team working throughout the conference. If you have an idea for a great speaker or a great story, we’d love to hear from you.

Thanks to everyone who has submitted proposals already – we have some fascinating sessions starting to come together which is exciting to see and be involved in again. We are also really grateful to all our partners, both in the UK and around the world, who will contribute and help us bring together the final programme for January. As the ORFC grows, so does our team and we now have a behind-the-scenes team of eight people working on the conference, which will slowly grow to over 100 during the next seven months.

So, please put your thinking caps on and let us have your proposals by 11:59pm BST on Thursday, 7th July 2022.

We will be looking through the submissions in July and August and aim to contact everyone – whether you’ve been successful or not – in August. This year, we will be asking you to have your session organised earlier as we will need speakers and programme details confirmed by mid-October. Bar a last minute Covid variant, this should make for a seamlessly organised hybrid conference!

If you have any queries, please contact Francesca. We really look forward to hearing from you.
