WORKSHOP: From Surviving To Thriving: Cultivating Sustainable Livelihoods In Food

Eating seasonally signifies we’re eating in rhythm with nature. But seasonal doesn’t signify sustainable livelihoods. Many growers face insecure, low-paid work that wilts in winter and only returns in spring. This systemic precarity limits the diversity of our growers. Anyone working food systems knows: biodiversity is vital to resilience. Join us in this participatory workshop to hear stories fed in from land-workers’ union SALT, LION, and Basic Income for Farmers: who’s behind your seasonal veg? We invite everyone to co-create pathways towards fairer, sustainable livelihoods for the land stewards: the backbone of any local food system.
