Farming people face higher rates of preventable death and serious injury than the wider population. Drawing on findings from RABI’s Big Farming Survey, this session explores how trauma, delayed medical access and cultural attitudes to health intersect in rural life. Stuart Maitland-Knibb shares evidence on the Platinum 10 approach — the critical first minutes after injury — and how earlier intervention could save lives on farms.
