ORFC 2027 7 – 8 Jan
In 2023, a group of Latin American farmworkers recruited to work in the UK on the Seasonal Worker Visa participated in a strike against their employer, alleging discrimination, non-payment of wages, and debt bondage. They have since been waiting for two years in the asylum and modern slavery system for justice in their case. In 2025, the group formed Justice is Not Seasonal campaign to highlight the injustices they had experienced on the scheme and to demand rights and dignity for people who are victims of modern slavery. In this session, listen to the testimonies of members of the campaign and their hopes for an agricultural system based on dignity and free from exploitation.
Please note there is no recording for this session.
