ORFC 2027 7 – 8 Jan
How can we inspire the next generation to eat and enjoy British-grown pulses? This session, part interactive workshop, part panel discussion, will explore how schools can spark excitement for pulses with a view to changing children’s preferences. Hands-on activities based on the TastEd method will invite participants to explore pulses with all the senses, revealing how this can encourage healthier diets. A panel, chaired by Mallika Basu, and including TastEd founder Bee Wilson and Hodmedod founder Nick Saltmarsh, will explore the opportunities and challenges of growing UK pulse consumption and how schools, farmers, and producers can work together to connect young people to homegrown crops.
