ORFC 2027 7 – 8 Jan
Listen to the poetry, heart and song of Dr Lyla June, an Indigenous musician, scholar, and community organiser of Diné (Navajo) and Tsétsêhéstâhese (Cheyenne) lineages. Her multi-genre presentation style blends hip-hop, acoustic singer-songwriter styles, and traditional Indigenous instruments for an earthy and soulful musical experience. Her messages have engaged audiences across the globe towards personal, collective, and ecological healing. She blends her study of Human Ecology at Stanford, graduate work in Indigenous epistemologies, and the traditional worldview she grew up with to inform her music, perspectives and solutions. Through her music she prays to build intercultural bridges and weave peaceful solidarity. Drinks will be available in Ginny’s Bar to take with you into the Whispering Wood.
Please note there is no recording for this session.
