ORFC in the Field

Biodynamics and Permaculture Design at Huxhams Cross Farm

Come and join leading practitioners for two days of hands-on workshops that explore how biodynamic principles and practice and permaculture design can be used at farm scale, and combined to create resilient, productive, financially viable farms that support biodiversity and serve the wider community. Meals

Lunches on both days are included in the ticket price. Lunches are provided by Edgy Veggie using Apricot Centre produce. Please indicate any dietary requirements when booking your ticket.

On Wednesday, 24th May, the Higher Close Refectory at Dartington Hall will host a buffet style evening meal for attendees at £20 per person (plus booking fee); book your dinner ticket here.

On Thursday, 25th May, there is an optional pizza dinner out at New Lion Brewery (around £12 a pizza). Attendees can purchase their food and drink at the brewery on the night, but please indicate if you will be joining dinner out when booking so we can make a reservation accordingly.

Parking

Parking is available at The Cider Press Centre car park, TQ9 6TQ.

Accommodation

Dartington Hall nearby offers a range of accommodation, including courtyard rooms, student rooms, pods and camping all within walking distance of Huxhams Cross Farm, with a range of prices. Learn more here.

Dartington Hall have held 20 Student rooms at a discounted price for ORFC in the Field attendees. Guests can book by calling Guest Services directly on 01803 847121 and quoting the Apricot Centre. The rooms are reserved at “Perry” and cost £40.24 per night. (Please note these rooms can be booked over the phone only; they are not available via the booking website.)

There are also camping and glamping pod options at Dartington Hall, which can be booked here.

Bursaries

A limited number of discounted tickets are available at £75 each. To apply, please email francesca@orfc.org.uk by Monday, 13th March explaining (1) why you are applying for a bursary and (2) why you would like to attend ORFC in the Field.
