Orchards in the UK face an increasingly uncertain future. To ensure that we protect orchard spaces for the many benefits they create, we need to act now. Join Forum for the Future for a workshop exploring five visions for a thriving and resilient future for the orchard fruit sector in the UK. We’ll show films created during the collaborative 2025 Future of UK Orchard Fruit research project, which engaged over 150 participants working in the sector, and share our experiences of storytelling for action. We’ll then discuss the five visions together and collectively explore how we can drive action for systemic change to create a future in which UK orchards thrive: producing UK-grown healthy food, providing jobs and opportunities, feeding community, and building biodiversity.
