Our understanding of soil has progressed exponentially in recent years and the pace isn’t slowing. Three speakers will present work from the forefront of how technology and AI are helping us map, monitor and understand soil in ways, and at scales, we’ve never been able to do before. The question which follows is how can these technological advances be accessible for on-farm decision making? Between Biofonic, The Earth Rover Program and AI4SoilHealth we’ll be looking at acoustic monitoring of below ground biology, seismological mapping of soil structure across continents and whether it’s possible to map likely future soil health, in different parts of the world, based on farm practices today.
