Daphne Astor and Piers Torday are on a mission to awaken authors, publishers, booksellers, printers and everyone involved with making, selling, reading and buying books to the importance of producing books using more environmentally aware methods and materials. Torday and Astor will discuss their commitment to helping people use the least damaging print, production, and distribution processes, and they will remind us that books are primarily made from agricultural products: trees into paper, and vegetables into inks.
