ORFC 2026 8 – 9 Jan
Despite mounting evidence of harm, global farming remains trapped in pesticide dependence — driven by politics, commercial power and strategies, technical gaps, and fear of crop loss. This session explores what is undermining farmers’ transition to sustainable farming and how science, policy, and international governance are converging toward change. We’ll compare challenges faced by farmers in the UK, Africa, and Latin America, expose industry tactics that subvert science, and highlight efforts supporting transitions away from toxic pesticides. Trigger warning: this session will include discussion of suicide and self-harm.
Please note there is no recording for this session.
