We believe that education is at the heart of the solution to the climate crisis, helping more people to feel a connection to their food and the world around them. Hear from a teacher, a farmer, a cook and a student or two about their experience bringing food and farming into the education system.
We are at a critical turning point in advancing the movement for food sovereignty and agroecology. Changes in food and farming are being forced by the climate crisis, new agricultural and food policy, the cost of living crisis, and fuel and agricultural input price rises. This opens up a window of opportunity to achieve whole-scale transformation of our food and farming systems.
The Open Food Network supports a vibrant network of food enterprises that are deeply embedded in their communities. During COVID, these food enterprises showed how important they are for community resilience. Three existing food hubs will share their wonderful and different approaches to creating and running their enterprises.
An opportunity to take a little time to give back to the land which sustains us all. Through ceremony, song and story we will create an offering of beauty for the land in Oxford, for all that is held and sustained in her loving embrace. A moment to step outside our human concerns and remember that all that we have and all that we are comes from the earth.
