The Biodynamic Association (BDA) is the UK charity dedicated to supporting farmers, gardeners, growers and foresters to use biodynamic methods and gain BDA Certification as applicable. The Biodynamic Association works closely with its partner charities, the Biodynamic Agricultural College (BDAC) and the Biodynamic Land Trust (BDLT). Together the BDA and our partners promote biodynamic methods that protect the environment and safeguard our precious natural resources through the regeneration of our soils and lands. Biodynamic farming encompasses a system where the health and vitality of soils, plants, animals, people and our earth is paramount.
Vision: is an ever-increasing network of biodynamic farms and gardens in the UK, producing high quality, nutritious food and regenerating our precious soil and biodiversity for generations to come.
Mission: to inspire, enthuse and empower increasing numbers of people in the UK to practice, engage with and explore biodynamic farming and gardening and food, as part of the global sustainability movement.
Biodynamic Association Objective: To research, educate and promote knowledge of the Biodynamic concepts and methods initiated by Dr Rudolf Steiner for the betterment of farming, forestry and gardening.
Biodynamic Land Trust
Biodynamic Land Trust was founded in 2011 to purchase land to farm using biodynamic and ecological methods. BDLT has secured over 300 acres of land for five farms. This supports farming for a sustainable future. As a charitable community benefit society, the Biodynamic Land Trust secures UK land in trust for community-owned ecological farming, bringing communities together to create living working farms and forging connections between land, food and people.
