The connections between land and water are intrinsic — yet food from the water is often overlooked in debates about food systems. The consequences of this neglect are profound. Fish are plundered from the Global South to feed animals and aquaculture. Agricultural runoff pollutes rivers and oceans, while fish stocks are being driven toward collapse. In this conversation, a researcher, activist, and seaweed farmer, will explore why seafood remains ‘out of sight, out of mind’ and what happens when we bring it back into view.
