The connections between land and water are intrinsic β yet food from the water is often overlooked in debates about food systems. The consequences of this neglect are profound. Fish are plundered from the Global South to feed animals and aquaculture. Agricultural runoff pollutes rivers and oceans, while fish stocks are being driven toward collapse. In this conversation, a researcher, activist, and seaweed farmer, will explore why seafood remains βout of sight, out of mindβ and what happens when we bring it back into view. Together, they will unpack how land and aquatic food systems are interwoven, examine the impacts of ignoring these links and explore opportunities to reimagine farming from the water.
