ORFC 2023 Call for Submissions

This is our call for your ideas and proposals for ORFC 2023!
You are welcome to submit an idea or a proposal whether you will be speaking or not.

The deadline for in-person and online submissions is 11:59pm BST on Thursday, 7 July 2022.
Please note this is earlier than previous years.

Submit idea or proposal for IN-PERSON conference
Submit idea or proposal for GLOBAL programme

After two years online, we are determined to be back face-to-face in Oxford in January, but we want to build on the success of our virtual programme by offering an exciting mix of an in-person and online conference at the same time.

Delegates will be able to join us in Oxford and/or online, where they will have a choice of live-streamed sessions from the conference as well as online-only sessions with incredible speakers from around the world.

IN-PERSON Conference, Oxford, UK

This is going to be bigger and better than ever! In addition to our regular venues, we will be taking on rooms at two new sites: The Story Museum, alongside St Aldates Church and the Northgate Centre, next door to the Oxford Town Hall. All the venues are within a 5 minute walk of each other, so there will be plenty of choice of sessions as well as places to meet up. There will also be more tickets available for January, which is good news for those who have missed out before.

Online programme: Virtual Sessions

We want to showcase all the amazing work that farmers/farming communities are doing around the world, so we’d love any ideas or proposals from you that can help make this happen – perhaps you have worked with them or know others who have? We will be sending out a separate call for sessions to our global partners, but please submit any ideas you have for speakers, organisations and communities from around the world. Alternatively, you can pass on our Global Call for Submissions, which you can find here in several different languages.

Timeframe for submissions

We will be looking through the submissions in July and aim to contact everyone – whether you’ve been successful or not – in August. This year, we will be asking you to have your session organised earlier as we will need speakers and programme details confirmed by mid-October. Bar a last minute Covid variant, this should make for a seamlessly organised hybrid conference!

If you have any queries, please contact Francesca. We really look forward to hearing from you.
