Oxford Real Farming Conference 2017
4th & 5th January
Oxford Town Hall
From practical on-farm experiences, to participatory workshops and talks from the UK’s leading sustainable food experts, the Oxford Real Farming Conference will once again offer a range of ways for delegates to explore agroecological solutions to common farming challenges.
Consisting of simultaneous sessions, filling the Oxford Town Hall for two days, delegates can explore issues from bees and neonicotinoids to grain and bread, the benefits of putting trees on farms, to better jobs in better farming.
Whether you are a new, young or urban farmer, or you’ve been farming for generations, or if you’ve been farming conventionally and are looking for common solutions to the challenges of farming well, then this is the conference for you. The programme can be found here.
Evening Reception & Entertainment
Be sure to book your ticket for the evening reception on 4th January. Taking place in the Town Hall, this will be a chance to chat and mingle, network and discuss the events of the day. Local chef Will Pouget, of Vaults & Garden Cafe, Will’s Deli and Alphabar, will be providing canapés and bowl food alongside a glass of English wine, with a bar provided. The evening reception will provide a great opportunity to continue the conversations and enthusiasm from the day’s events.
There will also be evening entertainment hosted by the Landworkers Alliance.
Tickets this year, as last year, will cost £50 for both days. This includes tea and coffee during the event, as well as evening entertainment, but does not include any meals. One day tickets are available for £30. Student rates are £30 for both days and £20 for one day.
Please note that bursary tickets have now been allocated.
Lunch will be available to buy in the Town Hall from a selection of local caterers. The evening reception is separately ticketed (see above).
Please note that no tickets will be refunded from 14th December 2016 onwards for ORFC 2017.
