New generation, new ideas

Beyond doubt, Britain needs a new generation of farmers and of everyone else who completes the food chain – bakers, butchers, distributors, retailers. They need a career structure and new ways of thinking — and agriculture itself needs to be re-shaped to make way from them.

We can’t look at everything but we can look at some of the key issues – new routes to finance; new farm structures; the special place of women.
