Who we are

The team

Colin Tudge

is a biologist by education and the author of Good Food for Everyone Forever. He is co-founder of the Campaign for Real Farming and is seeking to establish a College for Enlightened Agriculture.

Ruth West

is married to Colin. She has worked as a consultant at the UN (WHO, UNEP) but now spends her time on food and farming issues, setting up Funding Enlightened Agriculture and the Campaign for Real Farming with Colin, and more recently The All Party Parliamentary Group on Agroecology with Pete Riley.

Nessie Reid (Conference Manager)

is a Political Ecologist and performance artist working on issues surrounding access to land, food waste and sustainable agriculture. She is a Project Co-ordinator for This Is Rubbish, and is Chairperson for the Bristol Food Producers Network. Her latest artist residency “The Milking Parlour” was inspired by a session at ORFC 2015.

Hannah Fenton (Operations Coordinator)

has a background in event management and is Manager of Good Food Oxford. She has recently been supporting the development of her partner’s apple juice business, Tiddly Pommes, and is treasurer of the East Oxford Farmers’ Market.

Katharine Mansell (Marketing and Communications Coordinator)

is a communications, media and PR manager currently working with the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Agroecology. Previous roles include as Media and External Affairs Manager for the International Institute for Environment and Development, and as Communications Manager for World Animal Protection UK.

For ORFC 2017, we are very lucky to have a group of experts forming the Advisory Group – who will meet once a month from July 2016 and up to the conference  - to ensure that all session ideas fit within the wider ethos of the ORFC.
